'The Deadly Choices At Memorial' by Sheri Fink,... →
This story recently won the Pulitzer Prize and is a great (albeit long) read. It details the choices by New Orleans doctors in Memorial Hospital as to what patients could evacuate or stay (and live or die) in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. This should probably be required reading.

The question becomes, is gaga manipulating America’s overzealous desire to find authentic ‘rags-to-riches’ narratives or is she the victim of that desire? Good find by @whitwaide on Twitter.
